Het is zeer ongebruikelijk dat de Japanse bedrijf Sony elektronische hebben besloten om hun nieuwste mobiele draagbare muziekspeler van de Sony Walkman lancering in het Verenigd Koninkrijk voor ergens anders. De Sony Walkman is een icoon in draagbare muziek-sector, Het was het eerste doel gemaakt apparaat dat de gebruiker toegestaan om muziek te spelen terwijl cassettes on the move, it could be said that the Sony Walkman is the fore runner of all portable music devices.
Sony have released the NW A800 Walkman, there will be three models in the range the NW A808, NW A806 and the NW A805, Deze modellen hebben allemaal dezelfde technologie, het enige verschil is de grootte van het geheugen, the NW A808 has 8 GB, the NW A806 has 4 GB and finally the NW A805 has a modest 2 GB.
De Walkman heeft een twee inch LCD-scherm, which will support the playback of H264, MPEG 4 AVC bestanden, MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV and of course the audio format of ATRAC3 and ATRAC3 plus. Het scherm is zeer goed in staat de weergave van JPEG-afbeeldingen in duidelijke en full color. De macht is voorzien van een Lithium Ion accu, dat zal goed zijn voor maximaal 30 uur muziek luisteren en tot 6 hours of video playback.
The all new Sony Walkman, is looking to be the only true competitor to Apples iPod, maybe that is why the Walkman is available in the following colors, zwart, wit, Blauw en Roze. At the moment the Sony Walkman NW A800 series is only available in the UK, when it is going to be on the shelves elsewhere, as of yet it is not known.
The price for this device is the NW-A808 (8GB) sells for £200 about $400 US, (8GB Apple Nano sells for $240!), NW-A806 (4GB) for £145 ($285 US) NW-A805 (2GB) for £120 ($235 US).
